Marjariasana
Marjariasana. Cat-Pose. Yogini. Greek goddess, classical artistic yoga on wet marble
On hands and knees the spine rounds toward the sky, the head and tailbone dropping as the breath empties. Press the floor away and draw the navel toward the spine. Move slowly, letting each exhalation deepen the curve.
Muscles: rectus abdominis, transverse abdominis, trapezius, rhomboids.
Cat Pose releases tension between the shoulder blades and teaches the spine to move with fluid intelligence.
